Maloney's Florist is proud to be the hometown florist in Waterford, NY. The town of Waterford is located in the southwest corner of beautiful Saratoga County in the heart of New York State. With a population of about 8,500 residents, Waterford, NY can be easily spotted on a map by finding the junction of the Erie Canal and the Hudson River. Incorporated in 1794, the village of Waterford is the oldest incorporated village in the United States, existing long before the town was formed in 1816. Waterford, NY also hosts an annual tugboat festival - the largest of its kind in the Northeast.

Peebles Island State Park is the crown jewel of Waterford and provides wonderful woodland hiking trails along the banks of the Hudson and Mohawk rivers. Peebles Island provides visitors with majestic waterfall and river views and is located at the near the Erie Canal locks. Its 2-mile perimeter hiking and biking trail provides scenic vistas around the park. Fishing is also a popular activity in the park.

The Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center is the hub for cultural, educational, and recreational programs throughout the community. The museum’s permanent exhibit features the history of Waterford and the surrounding area. The WHMCC collaborates with the Town, Village, and other organizations to preserve and interpret Waterford’s unique heritage as Gateway to the Erie Canal.

Waterford’s Falls View Park is a beautiful little park that provides magnificent views of the amazing waterfall on the Mohawk River. Cohoes Falls is the second largest waterfall in New York after Niagara Falls. There are lot of sidewalks to walk and explore on your own. This amazing natural wonder is also an important part of our country's history as a series of 16 locks were built around the falls and completed in 1825, completing the Erie Canal which opened up commerce to the western territories.

There are several fantastic dining options in Waterford including Testo's Italian Restaurant. Testo’s has been a longtime favorite of locals and travelers alike. Family owned and operated since 1976, their menu features an impressive variety of pasta, veal and seafood - all of which are reasonably priced and served in a nostalgic warm and cozy atmosphere.
